The Matcha Tokyo

The Matcha Tokyo opened its first Canadian store in Toronto in May 2026, bringing 100% organic matcha to a fast-growing market.

The original Matcha Tokyo team in Japan created the core branding and visual identity, and I’ve been working on how it shows up here. Social media, menus, flyers, banners, and the occasional collabs with other brands are all part of this ongoing project.

It’s a joy to work on because it calls for both digital and print production which I love. It keeps my “old-school” skills sharp. Seeing the work out in the wild and in people’s hands is one of the greatest joys of being a designer.

Label design for retail products at the store.
Collab posts and physical cards, handed out at a Lululemon store nearby. Tokens were also part of the collab with the fitness studio Jaybird.
